Homemade Chocolate Spread

Here's a simple recipe for homemade chocolate spread:

Ingredients:

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

Instructions:

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet chocolate chips and vegetable oil.

Microwave the mixture in 20-30-second increments, stirring each time until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate, as it can scorch. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate and oil in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water, creating a double boiler.

Once the chocolate is completely melted, remove it from the microwave or double boiler. Let it cool for a few minutes.

Stir in the unsweetened cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined and the spread is smooth and glossy.

If the chocolate spread is too thick, you can add a bit more vegetable oil to achieve your desired consistency. If it's too runny, you can add more powdered sugar to thicken it.

Once you've reached the desired consistency, transfer the homemade chocolate spread to a clean, airtight container or jar.

Allow the chocolate spread to cool to room temperature, and then seal the container with a lid.

Store the chocolate spread in a cool, dry place, or in the refrigerator if you prefer a thicker consistency.

Your homemade chocolate spread is ready to be used as a delicious topping for toast, pancakes, and waffles, or as a dip for fruit. Enjoy!
