Fried Hunter Beef

Fried hunter beef is a delicious and crispy snack that's popular in Pakistan and India. It's made by frying thin slices of marinated and cured hunter beef until they are crispy and flavorful. Here's a recipe for making fried hunter beef at home:

Ingredients:

For the Hunter Beef:

1 pound (about 450 grams) of marinated hunter beef (prepared using the previous hunter beef recipe)

Cooking oil for frying

For the Batter:

1 cup gram flour (besan)

2 tablespoons rice flour (optional, for extra crispiness)

1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Water, as needed to make a thick batter

Instructions:

Preparing the Batter:

In a mixing bowl, combine the gram flour, rice flour (if using), red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and baking soda.

Gradually add water while whisking to form a thick, smooth batter. Ensure there are no lumps. The batter should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.

Frying the Hunter Beef:

Heat cooking oil in a deep frying pan or wok over medium-high heat. You'll need enough oil to submerge the hunter beef slices.

While the oil is heating, slice the marinated hunter beef into thin strips or slices. Ensure they are of uniform thickness for even frying.

Dip each slice of hunter beef into the prepared batter, making sure it's well coated.

Carefully place the battered slices into the hot oil one by one. Fry them in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.

Fry the slices until they turn golden brown and crispy, which should take about 3-5 minutes per batch. Use a slotted spoon or tongs to remove them from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Continue the process until all the slices are fried.

Serve and Enjoy:

Fried hunter beef is typically served as a snack or appetizer. You can serve it with green chutney or ketchup on the side for dipping.

Enjoy your crispy and flavorful fried hunter beef!

Note: Be cautious when working with hot oil, and use a thermometer to monitor the oil temperature to ensure it stays around 350-375°F (175-190°C). Adjust the heat as needed to maintain the proper frying temperature.
